Night at the Barons

Tonight Rob and I attended the Barons baseball game courtsey of Brian and Ashley Johsnon. First we went to dinner with the Johnsons at Five Guys and then we all headed to the game. Brian knew a great free parking spot which turned out to be great at the end of the game for getting home fast.It was pretty hot at the beginning of the game, but after being in Israel it wasn't that bad and it ended up cooling off. The Barons won 2-1 vs the Braves and we enjoyed a wonderful fireworks display after the game. Overall, it was a wonderful evening.

After spending about 20 hours between a plane and lay overs Rob and I are finally home from Israel! A trip of a lifetime is truly how I would explain our time in Israel. To have walked where Jesus had walked as well as his disciples was truly incredible and a priveledge. While the whole experience was overwhelming, Israel needs lots of prayer. The percentage of Muslims is off the chart. Just traveling to the airport I counted, in one village alone, 13 mosques in only my line of sight. In the picture you can see the "Dome of the Rock" which is built directly over the temple. My heart is truly broken for the lost.

So soothing...

Today has been hectic to say the least. I have been running around trying to accomplish things before going to work. I had the perfect schedule planned and of course all of it was shattered over a trivial thing. It ended with almost crying on the phone to Rob. But God always knows what you need. After coming home and regrouping, I was cancelled from work for 3-11. Then I was able to complete all the tasks that had to be done. And now God is allowing me the priveledge to sit on my couch and watch the rain as an afternoon thunderstorm plays music to my ears. GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME. ALL THE TIME GOD IS GOOD! And did I mention I am cuddled with my puppies. God always knows what you need-even when you don't know you need it.

New addition!

Meet Maggie Bensinger! She is a wonderful addition to our family!
We adopted her from the Birmingham Humane Society on May 17. The story of how we got her was actually a little difficult. We had originally decided that we were going to adopt Jake who was a lab terrier/mix. We went to look at him on Sunday and the humane society said he had an adoption pending. Then they said it wasn't a big deal because 75% of the people who say they are going to get a dog don't come back and get it.So we went back on Monday because they said we could adopt Jake. Well I got there and they brought out this precious puppy. Macy and I start playing with her and about 20 minutes later I remember saying to myself "This is a girl." So needless to say after all of that I could not say no to taking her home. So now she is here and it is like she has always been apart of the family.

A wonderful snow day!

So of course I worked a double the day we actually got snow! When I went to bed at 8 am no signs of snow not even a flurry. But when I woke up a 1 pm it was a complete white out! I hope everyone stays warm and has wonderful Valentine's Day Weekend! Im off starting tomorrow ! Hooray!!

Milkshakes and Movies !

So last night we decided to have a date night at home! Yay! After dinner we decided to make some amazing chocolate milkshakes and begin our movie night. On our list of movies:

So I have a list of things I need to be doing a mile high, but the weather is so nice that I just want to do this!

Baby Keel!

We had the wonderful privilege of going to visit Maegan and Adam Keel and their sweet new addition Chloe Belle on Tuesday night! We had a great visit and we were all surprised when Maegan answered the door. Everyone is doing well! Chloe has had a few issues that have extended their stay, but hopefully they will get to come home soon. Every time I see a precious newborn with their parents it just brings me to tears and reminds me how good God is! Maegan and Adam were just glowing as new parents. Chloe Belle just doesn't know how lucky she is to have such wonderful parents who love the Lord! I can't wait to watch her grow up!

New Year brings........

Horrible sickness!! I have been sick since Monday not just a little sick but like stomach virus sick. I think I am turning the corner! I will be back to post a bunch of stuff soon!
